Casey the Cantaloupe

We are now at the 34 week mark and have only 6 weeks(ish) to go. Today was our last childbirth prep class and our instructor asked us to guess a few stats about our baby (our due date is labor day Sept 3rd) here is what John & I predicted:

I guessed:
Birthdate: 8/29/2012 at 9:12pm
Weight: 7 pounds 2 ounces
Length: 22"
Hair: A little mohawk like I had :)

John guessed:
Birthdate: 9/1/2012 at 7:47pm
Weight: 7 pounds 12 ounces
Length: 22"
Hair: Bald

Just have to wait & see who's the closest...
So at 34 weeks our little man is the size of a cantaloupe and babycenter.com says our boy Casey the Cantaloupe weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well.
