Riley the Rutabaga

Baby W is now 25 weeks and likes to hang out on my left side, I guess its more fun over there. Lots of kicks & jabs for John and my friend Laura got her first fist bump from the little man.

For the most part I'm feeling good but I'm counting down the days to the weekend. John & I are headed to Palm Springs for our babymoon and I'm ready to relax at one of my favorite B&Bs. We're staying at Korakia, the same B&B where we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary. I can't wait!

This week our little guy goes by Riley the Rutabaga and babycenter.com says...

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Now I'm a little confused...
Wasn't I growing a baby turnip at only 17 weeks?
